Organic Laundry Detergent-Are you wondering “What’s the big deal about organic laundry detergent?” GOOD! We’re glad you asked! Many people pick laundry detergent based on smell or stain removal claims and not according to the ingredients contained inside. Some commercial brands don’t even list ingredients on their bottles and if they do, a common ingredient called “surfactants” is usually at the top of the list. Here’s the problem- “surfactants” refer to a long list of chemicals that are used in the product to help water penetrate into your clothing. When these chemicals are used they release Benzene (a toxin that has been linked to causing cancer and reproductive disorders) into the environment.
